Increasingly, the French police are resorting to brutal tactics against the demonstrators, very reminiscent of Brownshirts or the like. All of my past claims that the Left is much like the Nazis are coming to fruition.

True – although the more precise correlation would be to the Communist gangs that the Nazis were fighting in the streets of German cities in the 1920s and early 30s. It is correct that “Nazi” is short for “National Socialist,” and their economic program did include a heavy dose of socialism (as well, of course, as virulent anti-semitism – to which many leftists seem strangely prone, given their supposed penchant for diversity).
But they were distinguishable from international socialists in that they were focused on the well-being of their own people. Internationalists (or as we might call them today, globalists) were and are focused on their own ideological agenda to the point that they are perfectly willing to sacrifice their own people to achieve that end. But yes, things are starting to look more and more like the days of the Weimar Republic, in more than one place in Europe… sadly.
